Organised by Italian Wine Tourism Movement throughout Italy, this is an occasion not to be missed, especially in Salento.
For all wine loving tourists, Sunday 26 May is “open cantina” day, when hundreds of wineries open their doors for tastings, tours, sommelier courses and much, much more.
The theme for this, the 21st edition of the event, is “friendship”, wine being a great way of cementing and celebrating friendships of all kinds.
There is even carpooling organised, so that like-minded people car share cars as they follow the various itineraries around the Salento countryside.
