Over 100 resorts, hotels, masserie and B&Bs will offer low cost stays in a “come, taste and go” promotion inspired by the new Festival della Dieta Med-Italiana in Lecce, Salento, Puglia, recently elected “Italian Territory of 2013”.
One of the reasons Salento took the title was because of its culinary and gastronomic heritage. The local diet is very healthy and exemplifies the famous “Mediterranean diet” that is so talked about and celebrated in this festival.
There will be a series of tastings, cookery lessons, exhibitions, seminars and promotions throughout the five day event, not to be missed if you are in the area
