There is something for everyone at this fair, which began around the year 1000 AD. Originally agricultural in nature, giving people a chance to prepare for the coming winter by exchanging tools and goods, it is now a much more diverse event.
Local industry and craftsmanship is represented and there is a large animal fair in the sports centre. As part of the “Salento Produce” initiative, visitors can try delicious local dishes, including pork prepared in a variety of traditional ways and dressed with pepper, oil and lemon.
