Giorgio de Chirico, Mistero e poesia – 12 June, 2013


After its successful showings of works by Picasso, Salvador Dali and Andy Warhol, Otranto castle is now hosting an exhibition dedicated to the “father of metaphysical painting”, Greek-born Italian artist Giorgio de Chirico. Chirico founded the scuola metafisica art movement just before the outbreak of the First World War.

The exhibition will feature ten oil paintings as well as thirty other works by Chirico including watercolours and pencil drawings.

Where: Castello Aragonese, Otranto, Salento, Puglia

When: 8 June, 2013 – 29 September, 2013, daily. In June and September 10.00 – 21.00, in July and August 10.00 – 24.00.
