This Friday sees the launch of a season of classical music and ballet organised by the Fondazione ICO Tito Schipa of Lecce. The opening evening is dedicated to Tchaikovsky and will be conducted by Salvatore Accardo who is also the violin soloist.
The programme, chosen by Artistic Director Ivan Fedele, will feature some of the world’s most prestigious musicians and conductors and, after summer’s mad melting pot of styles and genres, marks a welcome return to the pure distilled simplicity of classical music’s greatest composers including Dvorák, Rossini, Ravel, Haydn and Mozart.
The season includes performances by the Balletto del Sud di Fredy Franzutti who will be performing Swan Lake.
