Festa of San Giuseppe da Copertino – 18 September, 2013

This religious festival including music, fireworks and food honours the patron saint of Copertino, San Giuseppe, the “flying saint” who is, logically, also the patron saint of pilots. San Giuseppe automatically passed his priest’s exam without having to answer a single question because the examiners were so impressed with the first few candidates they decided to pass the whole group. Therefore he is also patron saint of students!
