The south of Italy continues to bask in the international media spotlight. The BBC’s popular programme Italy Unpacked returned for a third series this week and the opening show featured Puglia and Basilicata.
In Italy Unpacked, the show’s presenters Andrew Graham-Dixon and Giorgio Locatelli look at the history, culture, food, art and landscape of different areas of Italy. The Puglia and Basilicata programme was called From the Stones to the Stars and focussed on Matera, Lecce and Trani.
With stunning scenery, the natural enthusiasm and rapport of Graham-Dixon and Locatelli and the winning mix of recipes, culture and local colour, the programme gave a real flavour of Puglia and Basilicata.
